The Simla Review is an online literary journal and we exclusively publish contemporary poetry from around the world.
This journal takes its name from Simla, which is the historic spelling of Shimla, the erstwhile summer capital of the British India. As of today, Shimla exists as the proud capital of Himachal Pradesh, India. With its rich cultural heritage, Shimla continues to inspire writers and scholars.
We accept creative works, including free verse, folklore-inspired poetry, magical realism, ekphrastic poetry, flash fiction, and other imaginative forms which tingles the imaginative strings of the soul. In addition to creative writing, The Simla Review also features interviews with poets. This helps in offering readers insights into their artistic journeys and creative processes.

The Simla Review is published periodically, with approximately five to six issues each year.
Selected print editions of the journal will be made available through Amazon and, where applicable, through this website.
